National Education Policy 2020

About Us

The National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) marks a transformative shift in India’s learning landscape by replacing the traditional 1986 framework with an inclusive, flexible, and multidisciplinary vision fit for the 21st century. Grounded in the core pillars of access, equity, quality, affordability, and accountability, NEP 2020 restructures school education into a 5+3+3+4 curricular model covering ages 3 to 18, eliminating rigid silos between streams, integrating coding and vocational skills from Class 6, and prioritizing early literacy and multilingual instruction. In higher education, it introduces flexible 4-year undergraduate programs with multiple entry and exit options, an Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) for seamless transfers, and a unified regulatory framework under HECI—all designed to transition the nation from exam-driven rote learning toward holistic, critical, and research-led education.
