Dr. Manoj Kumar is an Assistant Professor of Law at Rajiv Gandhi University (A Central University), Arunachal Pradesh, where he joined on 7th June 2023. Prior to joining the University, he served at Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur. His areas of academic and research interest include Criminal Law, Criminology and Penology, Environmental Law, and Jurisprudence. He has also delivered guest lectures at the Indian Law Institute (ILI), New Delhi. Dr. Kumar obtained his Ph.D. in Law from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur. His doctoral research focused on “Environmental Impact Assessment as an Instrument to Attain the Goal of Sustainable Development: A Study with Special Reference to India.” He qualified the UGC-NET in December 2010 and June 2011. He completed his LL.M. from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, in 2010, securing distinction marks for his dissertation titled “Evolution and Development of Environmental Jurisprudence: A Study of Judicial Contribution.” He graduated in Law from the prestigious Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, in 2008. He also holds a degree in Science from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University, Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Dr. Kumar has participated in and presented research papers at various national and international seminars and conferences. He has also contributed to legal scholarship through research publications in refereed journals.
