My research interests focus on soil fertility and nutrient management, phosphorus dynamics and use efficiency, nutrient cycling and soil–plant interactions in agricultural ecosystems, particularly under acidic soil conditions. I am also interested in smart-release fertilizers and nanotechnology-based nutrient delivery systems, including nanoparticles, graphene-based materials, nano-zeolite and biochar composites. My research further encompasses localized nutrient application, microbial approaches to improving nutrient availability, soil physical health and sustainable nutrient management practices for enhancing soil health, crop productivity and nutrient use efficiency. I also work on nutrient management strategies for field crops, agroforestry systems, and shifting cultivation ecosystems in the Eastern Himalayan region.
