Ramen Jamatia graduated with M.Sc. in Chemistry in the year 2011 from North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong and obtained his PhD degree in Organic Chemistry from the same university in the year 2018 under the supervision of Dr. Amarta Kumar Pal. Thereafter, he shifted to Indian Institute of Technology - Guwahati where he worked as a National Post- Doctoral Fellow (2019 - 2021) under the supervision of Dr. Dipankar Srimani. Jamatia started his independent career in the Department of Chemistry, Rajiv Gandhi University in 2021, where he is currently an Assistant Professor. Jamatia research interest is primarily focused on the develop-ment of 3d-transition metal based homogeneous and hetero-geneous catalysts, photo-redox catalysis and synthetic organic and sustainable synthesis.
