Bio

Dr. Bharat Kumar Allam is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Rajiv Gandhi University, a Central University in India. His research focuses on the development of efficient and sustainable synthetic methodologies. He obtained his M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from Andhra University and earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Banaras Hindu University. He has also carried out postdoctoral research at Tampere University, the University of Angers, the University of Warwick, and IIT-BHU. As a Fulbright–TSRI Fellow at The Scripps Research Institute, USA, he worked with two-time Nobel Laureate Prof. K. Barry Sharpless. He is the recipient of several prestigious awards and fellowships, including the DST-SERB National Postdoctoral Fellowship, DST-SERB Overseas Postdoctoral Fellowship, IUPAC Young Chemist Scholarship, SERB Start-up Research Grant, ANRF and INSA International Travel Grants, and the SAAST Young Scientist Award. His research interests include sulfur chemistry, click chemistry, photoredox catalysis, transition-metal-catalysed transformations, material chemistry, and chemical biology. Dr Bharat currently serves as an Editorial Board Member of Nature Scientific Reports, Nature Scientific Reviews and Academia Organic and Biological Chemistry, Section Editor-in-Chief of Current Science, Engineering and Technology, and Associate Editor of Frontiers in Biomedical Signal Processing.
