Dr Sandeep Janghu is presently serving as Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), Before joining RGU Dr Janghu was with National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM)-Thanjavur, an Institute of National Importance (INI) under Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Govt. of India and served there for more than 8 years, where along with his teaching and extension activities he was actively engaged into numerous MoFPI schemes under SAMPADA like CEFPPC, APC, FTL, SHRISD etc. and evaluated more than 2000 proposals and given his inputs in drafting numerous scheme guidelines like Gram Smridhi Yojana, PMFME and many more. He did his Ph.D. in Food Engineering and Technology from Sant Lonogwal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET), Longowal, Punjab and M.Sc. in Food Science & Technology from Ch. Devi Lal University, Sirsa followed by M. Tech in Food Engineering from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology (GJUS&T), Hisar, Haryana. Dr Janghu got a fellowship from MASHAV for International PG course on Food Safety and Security, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, ISRAEL. All together he is having more than 17 years of teaching, administrative and industrial experience, his area of research interest includes new product development, honey and minor forest produce processing, millet fortification, bakery and cereal based products with functional aspects. Dr Janghu handled several R&D, Consultancy and livelihood projects with total grant of more than 20 crores. He has published numerous research articles in national and international journals and various book chapters. Currently involved into various CSR, ICAR and Agricultural ministry sponsored projects for the growth and upliftment of grass-root level people, marginal farmers and emerging entrepreneurs in the states of North East Region of India.
